In March, Commeunity went on a trip to Bandung. We’ve been seeing a growing interest in the cycling culture of Bandung and since then we’ve always wanted to experience it first-hand. There isn’t an age limit when it comes to cycling in Bandung. People of all ages come together as one to do the one thing they love most. We were very excited to be there, and also super thankful that we were welcomed with open hands from our friends who later on introduced us to Bandung’s famous routes. The terrain and elevation of the ride was not easy, but cyclists in Bandung received right-of-way from the cars and pedestrians alike. Bandung, we love you for that.

During the 3 day trip, we encountered some pretty memorable routes. The first one was the infamous “Tanjakan Syaiton”, which saw us navigating through the outskirts of the city, a beautiful tea plantation, until we finally reached the ascend. After this upwards ride, the route was followed by constant rolling while going up and down. Not long after that, our ride ended as we cycled towards a restaurant in the city to get lunch together.
