Global Commeunity Tour Thailand
August 2022

The first of many global tour of Comme Studios. We believe in our vision and we don’t plan on stopping to reach for more.
Truly an achievement we would love to appreciate. To expand. To build. A commeunity that unites us without any differences.
To see everyone as equal.

On our first day, we made our way to Ayutthaya, met SweetVarnVarn and our friends Thailand. The Commeunity from Medan joined us
and we took the bus to reach the starting point. We walked together, talked together, and just bonded over our love for cycling.
The first time we started cycling in Thailand, we were amazed at how different it is from here in Indonesia, there we are allowed to enter toll roads, and people around town were very supportive of the cycling culture. Needless to say, there wasn’t anyone honking at us to move aside
and instead waited for us to go through more steep areas. To top it all off, the air was clean. As we finally arrived in Ayutthaya we proceeded
to then check out the statues of Buddha while gazing at the beauty of it all.

On the second day, we started very early in the morning because our destination was quite a journey. Almost 2.5 hours from the capital city,
Khao Yai National Park Park is located in the North East of Bangkok and is listed as on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites due to its diverse landscape and wildlife conservation. As we reached the meeting point at Noen Homme Cafe, we all immediately got prepared to start our ride.

The distance from the start point to the ultimate return is around 60 kilometers with an elevation of 1100 meters. The uphill route in Khao Yai
is extremely beautiful, quite long and winding, and we felt peaceful and alone in the world since it was still an early quiet morning.
We did see some wild animals like monkeys and squirrels, however we didn’t manage to see what we wanted to see the most which are
the elephants, the true icon of Thailand. Though we managed to see it’s droppings along the road scattered at several points towards the top.

All our tiredness and struggle instantly vanished as we reached the peak. We were welcome by the most beautiful view we’ve seen
in a long long time, a very yellow meadow landscape under a very blue sky greeted us. From there, we still had to make our way upwards
for another 2 kilometers to Sai Sorn Reservoir which is a very beautiful lake with the background of a wild forest. A truly unforgettable sight.

We then spent our time together conversing and taking pictures until we lost track of time while soaking
in the beauty of the moment we were in. One experience we will never ever forget.

On our 3rd day, we made our way to Thailands cycling cultures’ pride and joy. The Happy Healthy Bike Lane, better known as HHBL or Skylane. Located in the Suvarnabhumi airport, this track was developed in 2014 and has seen new improvements every year. Before we reached
the Skylane, we first met up in our official distributors store, En Route which is about 10 mins away from the Skylane. After that we met our new friends, the cyclists from Thailand and even some Commeunity members from Medan and we made our way to the Skylane.

Prior to entering, we had to register using our passports and to reduce traffic we pre-registered the day before. We met some more Thai cyclists such as Sweetvarnvarn and PollyPloi. We were amazed with the facilities, roads, and the long routes. Our ride started with a half loop for warm up, continued with a 2 loop high intensity ride. Each loop in the Skylane is about 23.5 KM. Our day ended with a photo session with everyone and our ride back to En Route to bond some more with the rest of the group.
