The following day kicked off with a 109 km cycling adventure through Ratchaburi by a pack of Ratchaburi riders riding through the roads of the area, starting at 5:30 am. SweetVarnVarn, our beloved cyclist angel, also joined us for the whole of this day. Negotiating challenging terrains with climbs reaching up to 18%, the peloton persevered, fueled by the breathtaking views. Our 1st pitstop came not long after which is a quaint coffee shop called Private Moon located inside a pine forest, and beside a small river. We all gathered there and enjoyed some warm snacks as well as some coffee.
The other 60 km was filled with some greenery until we headed back to the city of Ratchaburi.
We had a lot of support from the TAT of Ratchaburi by marking the streets, keeping officers for our guide and making an exclusive bike lane.
80 km in, we stopped another time for a quick refill. Thanks to Benji for arranging us a sponsored drink from Singha including the water, lemon soda, as well as much needed beers! Since the sun couldn’t stop shining, we took a long straight road for a test of our speed against the wind before finishing by a river. All of us took the time to soak in and rest after what was a very long ride. We went to the van after and then headed to the restaurant for a proper wind down with everyone.
